History

Founded by Charles (pictured on right) and Edith Bombardier in 1977 the International 180/185 Club, Inc. was a rebirth of an earlier effort called 180's International run by Baja Bush Pilots founder Arnold Senterfitt. The original goal was very limited; to have a small group of friends with similar type planes to go fishing, camping, etc. with. The club has grown since then into something more, with over 1800 members in 24 countries. Past presidents have been Charles "Bomber" Bombardier, 1977-1990, Howard "Buz" Landry 1990-1994, Johnny Miller 1995-1999; Scott White 1999-2002; Dave Hayden 2002 -2006; Keith Peterman 2006-2010, Bob Warner 2010-2014, and current is President Steve Goebel.

About Us

The International 180/185 Club, Inc. invites you to join in the fun and adventure of belonging to a group established enthusiasts of these two great airplanes. A fun organization strictly for enthusiasts and owners of 180/185s. This is a non-profit organization. All work is done by volunteers. There are no paid officials.

We plan one major fly-in convention a year, located somewhere in the U.S. or Canada and regional fly-ins whenever and wherever one member or a group of members wishes to organize one.

Our 16 page newsletter is published 6 times a year. The newsletters contain information on flying events for members, reports on travel and incidents by club members, technical information and maintenance hints, and a classified section listing planes and parts for sale or wanted by club members.

As a Club member, you can also use this website to search for published technical articles and tips, old newsletters, and use our online Classified section of the Forum. Note we also sell copies of many useful STCs and other FAA documentation, but only to our Club members.

You do not need to be an owner of a Cessna 180 or 185 to join our great club. You just have to have a love affair with our airplanes. Please fill out the online club application form. You can pay online or else print and return the form along with a check or money order for $25 (U. S. funds) for the current calendar year.  (Note that members who join in November or December will have their membership extended through the following year.)
