IO-520 cold wx EGT's


First cold day with a newly acquired 185.
I noticed right away the EGT's rising higher than normal as I reduced power.
OAT was around 20F and as I reduced the power as I needed to keep the speed down to 22/2300 the egt's rose to around 1475 from low 1400's. Mixture was full rich and was at sea level.
I am guessing it is because the air is much more dense at the colder temps.
Is it normal to have to tweak  the injection system in the colder temps?
The fuel flow at full TO power was slightly shy of the red line. I do have a JPI FF gauge but don't recall the actual ff.
