Hello fellow Alaska International 180/185 Club Members.  I wanted to take a quick minute to introduce myself as your Alaska Regional Director for the club.  I have the privilege of knowing many of you!  For those who I have not had the opportunity to meet, it is my hope that I will be able to meet each of you in person in the not too distant future!  
I would like to thank our past Director, Tony Turinsky for his efforts to lead the Alaska Region.  I am hopeful that I can continue to build upon his efforts!
If you have not checked out the new and updated website, please give it a browse and add to your favorites.  We are hopeful that we can increase interest on the forum boards and use it as a tool for sharing knowledge, ideas, and fun events!  The website link is:  Please feel free to forward the link and this email to any of your Skywagon friends and to potential 180/185 pilots who are not part of the club!  You can also use the website to update membership information, dues, contact info, etc.
We are planning to have a booth at the Alaska Airmen’s – 2016 Great Alaska Aviation Gathering (  Mark it on your calendars for April 30 – May 1, 2016 and plan to stop by and say hello!
The Valdez May Day Fly In is planned for the following weekend, May 6, 7, & 8, 2016 and a contingent of members will be flying in for the event (  If there is interest in joining in the group flying to Valdez from Anchorage, please let me know!  Tentative plans are depart Friday afternoon and return Sunday, weather permitting.
In addition to the events mentioned above, we are planning a 180/185 Fly-In next summer to Wrangell Park.  We will provide updated information on dates towards the start of 2016 but expect a June weekend.
Once again, I hope to meet you all.  I am based here in Anchorage at Lake Hood and am at the airport regularly.  Please feel free to reach out, drop a line, or call to say hello!  Would like the opportunity to buy you a cup of coffee and talk a little Skywagon talk!
