Aerocet 3400 or Wip 3000A?
Author Last Post
You will find that Aerocet floats “Un-stick” from the water faster than any other, and I have flown them all. I fly a 180 and a 185 on floats doing as much as 18 takeoffs/landings a day.

Thanks for the reply Jim. Unfortunately I’ve only flown Edo’s and Wip’s, not on a 180. Heard murmur’s about directional control issues on the water and forward CG issues? I really should just bum a ride on a set of Aerocets to see for myself!

Cheers and thanks...

If you have flown both, there wouldn’t be a toss-up. Aerocet’s win, hands down. I have been flying aerocet floats since I installed the first set in Alaska.
As far as the Sportsman STOL and Wing-X, you still need the VG kit that Charles and Annie produce Micro Aerodynamics. That completes the package.
