Control yolk bushing "hanging up"
Author Last Post
Make sure the "hanging up" isn't wires, tubing, or coax that might have been rearranged and now out of position when the control wheel bushings were replaced. New bushings should NOT be hanging up.

If it is the new panel pass-thru bushings that are the problem, sometimes adding a little bit of silicon grease to the yoke shaft and working the shaft back and forth will free up the binding.

I had a bit of "play" in pilot side yolk on my 1972 C185.The shop I took it to replaced the bushings and now lots of
"hanging up" on both pilot and pilot side. Can hear the friction in panel/bushings.A bit of a challenge to fly!
The shop is focused on covering their tails to their boss instead of solving the problem they created.

Any advise on bushings or anything else would be greatly appreciated.I can text video of same.
Thanks!!!!

Be careful, I had that happen once, it went from stiff to bound up on landing. Had to control with trim and power. New bushings were for a B model and they put them in an H.
