McCauley 86" or Hartzell 82' Scimitar
Author Last Post
Greetings, fyi: A185F IO520 Landplane.
Due weight and CG I changed from McCauley to MT
Both three blades. Doing well with the MT - 63lbs, 83" diameter
On a Champ on Amphibs we also operate a MT. Two blades 84"
Never had an issue with spray holes

Not sure if your STC allows but there’s also an 84” Hartzell Scimitar option.  8068+2.  It’s a good compromise if you can use it.

Greetings--Looking for opinions as to best prop to go along with IO550 conversion on an A185F.  McCauley 86" or Hartzell Super Scimitar 82"?  I'm guessing the McCauley if you're on floats with big loads, but Hartzell if mainly on wheels.  Would appreciate comments.
