Approach speed?
Author Last Post
I fly Angle of Attack, which works out to be between 48-50 knots.  Seems to be pretty controllable at that speed for me.  In strong or gusty winds/x-winds, I find that 50-55 knots is comfortable.

Question for R/STOL and Micro Air VG equipped airplanes (pilots).  What's a comfortable approach/over the fence speed you are using?  I've only had the opportunity to make one landing on the test flt our of annual after installing the VG's. Lightly loaded with just two aboard, 55 kt seemed a little fast.

Thanks!

I'm using 55 MPH or just under 50KTS.  Mine will fly at 40 MPH but need lots of power to control sink rate.
