Thank you all for advice and contact info. Still working the dates and details here. I think I will try to arrange my trip during the Wings over Wanaka airshow.

Rob,
The Cody convention was attended by a NZ member. First name was Gordon, I believe. Mike Perkins may have contact information on him.

That would be my brother in law, Gordon Needham. Owner of Cessna 185 CBF just imported from the USA and being put back together at the moment.

Hi Rob, here is the web address for the "Cessna 180/185 Group of NZ".
http://www.skywagons.net/
It has a number of contacts for the key personnel in the group including info@skywagons.net which I understand is the president. I'm sure someone will be keen to give you all the advise you require & more than likely, be happy to show you around if they can.
If nothing else, the site has some great photos & Flyin reports to give you an idea of the country & Skywagon activity in NZ.
Unfortunately I'm currently living overseas, otherwise I'd be happy to show you around myself.
Good luck & I hope you make it 'Down Under'.
Regds BRO.

Rob, email Andrew Bomar, he's a regular on the discussion list.

Anyone offer information on visiting and flying around there?
